This bond proposal is the culmination of the efforts that began in May of 2021. Many individuals, including the district’s administration, campus staff and community members contributed to the effort. Each campus actively participated in facility evaluation surveys that identified a number of facilities challenges. Technical assessments were performed by outside consultants. The data from these efforts were reviewed by campus leadership and members of the community. Challenges were prioritized, and options were reviewed and discussed. The result, this bond proposal, is the first step in a long range strategy to address educational adequacy in Woodsboro ISD.

2023 Woodsboro Bond Election
Many individuals, including the district’s administration, campus staff and community members contributed to the effort. Once priorities were established, the district solicited statements of qualifications from Architecture firms interested in developing a schematic design for the new elementary campus. After review of qualifications from several firms and interviews with the Board of Trustees, Lamarr Womack & Associates (LWA) of Corpus Christi were selected. Working with staff over the course of several visioning meetings, LWA developed a schematic design for the new elementary in the context of an overall campus master plan strategy. The result, and the primary focus of this bond proposal, is a new elementary campus illustrated in the video below.

For Staff - Election Protocol
It cannot be overstated that when conducting a bond election the employees, officers, directors, trustees, and any other member of Woodsboro Independent School District must be aware of and adhere to the legal requirements imposed on the oral and written communications they make relating to the bond election by the Election Code and the Texas Ethics Commission. This election protocol has been developed for WISD to provide guidance on those requirements.
